D After Dark was born from years of traveling to gay events across the United States and around the world. After attending dozens of parties, weekends, and festivals, we kept noticing the same thing — every event had something great, but none of them had everything we were looking for.
We wanted one weekend that combined the best parts of all our favorite events: the wild energy of big circuit parties, the intimate and raw feel of underground gatherings, the playful daytime fun of pool parties, and the freedom of all-nude, sex-positive spaces.
In early 2026, we started casually talking about creating our own event. By April 2026, those conversations became serious. We decided it was time to stop wishing for the perfect weekend and actually build it ourselves.
